Volunteer/intern to Support in data entry and data analysis
Competencies
- Strong track record of successful data analysis models and procedures;
- Advanced knowledge of database structure and theory;
- Ability and experience working under pressure, with tight deadlines and by managing multiple tasks, and to be flexible;
- problem-solving and good analytical skills;
- familiarity with the main data manipulation languages and the principles of database design;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assistance
- good organisational skills
- Education background related to database management and backup procedures
- Basic understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
Detailed Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Under the direct supervision of Project Manager assist technical team in drafting database management procedures, backup processes for server and associated data.
- Requires data entry and analysis.
- Evaluate data analysis models and procedures
- Familiar with reporting tools
- responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database
- involved in the planning and development of the database
- Plans and implements backup and recovery of the database(all data is retrievable in an emergency)
- writes database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary
- control access permissions and privileges
- Other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager
Working hours:
Working hours is usually 45 to 48 hours a week; typically include regular working hours of the organization (8:30 am – 5:00 pm) Monday to Friday
Experience required:
- 1+ years professional experience or internship
Education degree: Bachelor Degree Field of education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; computer software/computer systems engineering; electronics; information technology; mathematics; operational research.
*Entry without a degree is possible for those with good all-round IT skills.
Languages : English: Very Good; French: Desired
