International Medical Corps Jordan Country Office is operating in a transitional context gradually evolving from emergency to post-conflict and development with a portfolio of approximately $ 18 million through an organization of more than 500 national and 8 international employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under direction of HQ Investigations Unit, develops action plans which determine scope, timing, and direction of PSEA and Safeguarding investigations
  • At the direction of the head of Investigations, conducts preliminary data gathering related to complaints received. 
  • Conducts objective, fair, thorough, unbiased and timely investigations into allegations of PSEA, Trafficking in Persons, Child Safeguarding and Sexual Harassment 
  • Conducts field visits to obtain relevant evidence and information 
  • Reviews and research evidence/documents to draw conclusions 
  • Organizes and conduct interviews 
  • Documents all investigative steps 
  • Produces professional investigation reports with recommendations 
  • Tracks that Country Management have implemented recommended remediation plans 
  • Keep management up to date on Safeguarding measures taken and plans for future action. 
  • Remains up-to-date on relevant trends and activities in the global compliance profession within the NGO community. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in relevant discipline 
  • Certification in SEA/Protection Systems investigation
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in humanitarian relief with at least 3 years’ experience in SEA/Safeguarding investigation
  • Experience in effectively leading and completing SEA/Safeguarding/Protection systems investigations in challenging environments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English and Arabic both orally and in writing
  • Ability to train staff 
  • Ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with other staff 
  • Ability to lead and coordinate other staff 
  • Ability and willingness to travel to IMC program locations as required.
