OBJECTIVE:
A Staff Care Psychologist provides psychological support to Caritas staff through individual counseling and/or group therapies
DUTIES:
- Organize weekly support groups for case workers/social workers implementing case management and PSS support activities (who are in daily contact with beneficiaries)
- Perform individual assessments in the case of individual staff members experiencing difficulty coping and/or presenting mental healthrelated symptoms or syndromes
- Advise the Project Coordinator and the Head of Department as necessary, on individual and /or group cases where an identified problem is likely to have professional, vocational and/or counseling effect (e.g. workrelated problem due to a psychological problem, conflict resolution, etc.)
- Advise Project Coordinator, HR as necessary, or upon request, with the aim of improving the working atmosphere in their teams and resolving problems of a workrelated or personal nature that adversely affect job performance and productivity
- Monitor environmental factors that could lead to stress, with particular focus on stress related to critical incidents including emergency and crisis situations
- Plan, develop and implement stress management and resilience building training to all staff members in the mission.
- Conduct Group sessions on a monthly basis for all staff to learn skills to respond to, manage and reduce stress and promote positive coping measures and selfcare
- Provide Psychological counselling on a one-to-one to basis for staff members on a request basis, once a week, if and when required, at a time agreed by the Concerned and the psychologist

- Specialized understanding and scientific approach to human behavior, cognitive performance and psychosocial problems
- Ability to choose, conduct and report on psychological testing and assessments for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Ability to engage in case formulation, treatment delivery and final outcome evaluation processes
- An evidence-based approach to psychological interventions (for example: cognitive behavior therapy)
- Capacity to work in a team and autonomously
- Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
- Capacity to work under high pressure
- Ability to show initiative and take responsibility
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Fluent in written and spoken Arabic – English
Computer Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- 2 to 3 years of experience.
- Previous experience in NGO and humanitarian field is an advantage.
- Experience in providing trainings and building capacity of staff is an advantage.
