Background:
MIDAL Association is a Lebanese non-profit organization established in 2005 by a group of human rights activists, social workers, and volunteers. MIDAL works to build a community capable of assuming the responsibility partnership and to build the capacity of individuals in order to raise the level of awareness in society.
 
 Our mission
Empower, mobilize, and enable citizens to change and meet the needs of the communities, specifically the marginalized communities in rural areas, through human rights based approach.
Our New Project: Women Empowerment (A SNAP to the Future) aims to Empower  women from all over the Nabatieh Governorate in order to improve their skills and become leaders and partners in the decision 
 
Purpose of consultancy:
The consultancy aims at:
Develop and deliver a training to a group of 30 women between 21 and 45 years old from different backgrounds of one of the following topics:

Leadership
Public speaking and negotiation
Communication skills
Social Media
Writing proposal and fund raising
Needs Assessment

 
Expected outputs:
Preparation of materials for the training then discuss with MIDAL team.
    -   Pre-Post Evaluation Forms including all the main issues that are expected to be acquired throughout the training.
    -   A report in English tackling the following issues: the number of attendees, the number of attendees having attended all sessions, the number of attendees showing active participation, the number of participants having acquired minimum knowledge.
Timeline:
The trainings will be on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) during January and February 2017.
Note: Each topic will be given 4 times ( each time for different group of  women)
Consultant profile
The ideal trainer will have 5-10 years of relevant experience. (S)he should have the following skills and competencies:

Experience in training the topic
Experience in preparation and implementation of trainings on the mentioned topics.
Ability to communicate fluently in Arabic and English (preferably) and write reports in English.
(S)he is expected to propose efficient and effective team composition taking into consideration the social, cultural, environmental and political/security issues.
Good understanding of gender sensitivities and questions that might arise in such trainings.
