Promoting The Acceptance Of Vulnerable Groups Of Children And Youth In Lebanon
The project aims at effecting sustainable change in the knowledge and beliefs of the public in general and the youth in particular about the rights of children and youth with special needs and promote a positive and active role for the general public, civil societies, schools system and the media in promoting acceptance of and dialogue with this group of children and combating intolerance towards them.
الأهداف العامة:
- Reduce the intolerance barriers that face groups of children with special needs in their daily lives and improve their opportunities to claim and fulfill their rights as well as lead independent, productive and rewarding lives.
- Decrease the burden of unproductive and dependent individuals on the future society.
- Emphasize the role of the civil societies and the media in supplementing the work of policy and decision makers in their initiatives to promote human rights in Lebanon.
- Promote the role of school systems in advocating for these issues.

- Implementation of a survey of regular schools implementing inclusion programs.
- The training of NGOs staff on innovative communication and integration techniques.
- The implementation of a series of follow up integration sessions targeting children and youth with special needs by trained staff
- The training of public and private school teachers on innovative awareness and advocacy techniques
- The implementation of a series of awareness and, advocacy and integration activities targeting the schools students and youth
- The support of a number of advocacy initiatives for basic rights and dialogue undertaken by youth
- The development and production of a parents guide
- The development, production and broadcasting of a public service announcement
- The development and broadcasting of a series of TV programs and shows
- The implementation of a series of parents support group sessions
- The organization of a schools administrations panel discussion
