As part of forumZFD capacity development programme, forumZFD in partnership with Result Mediation invites you to apply for the Core Mediation Training 13-17 January 2020 led by Elsbeth Snieders and Felix Merks.

Scope of the consultancy
Design and implement a workshop on conflict transformation using Nonviolent Communication for a group of 12-15 Arabic-speaking participants working in NGOs and ranging from 20-40 years of age. The workshop will take place from 22nd to 28th August in Mount Lebanon (6 days, 4 hours/day) plus 3 days follow-up with the participants (later in the year).

Objectives
Participants understand the spirit and form of Nonviolent communication and are willing and able to apply it in their personal, professional and community space.

“Hawli w Hawalaye”– Children’s Summer Camps Toolkit is an interactive toolkit for animators to work with children during summer, with a focus on conflict transformation. It aims at creating opportunities for children to grow, learn, gain new skills, play and sing during summer. Organisations working in child education or peace education are welcome to apply for a five-day-training on the Hawli w Hawalaye methodology from July 21st (arrival day on the 20th in the evening) to July 25th.
Interested organisations can nominate up to 4 participants. The training will be held in Arabic.

Forum Civil Peace Service would like to offer interested organizations the possibility to get to know its new summer activities toolkit “Hawli w Hawalaye” (About and Around me) through a five-day training workshop for animators from 10 to 14 June. The toolkit is designed to equip summer camp animators with everything that is necessary to organize successful educational summer camps for children between the ages of 8 to 12.

Communication and group dynamics forms an integral part of the daily work conflict transformation in general and in the project of forumZFD and its partners. In particular, considering the diverse social settings we operate in. We have to be context-sensitive and adaptable. Given this multi-facetted and sometimes sensitive working environment, having a wide range of communication tools is beneficial for enabling non-violent conflict transformation.

Within the framework of the Lebanon Crisis Response Plan (LCRP), actors in the Social Stability sector in partnership with forumZFD, are seeking to contract a trainer on conflict sensitivity and do no harm to deliver a series of trainings and mentoring workshops in 2019.

Eight years into the Syrian conflict, Lebanon remains at the forefront of one of the worst humanitarian crises of our time. Lebanon has shown exceptional commitment and solidarity to people displaced by the war in Syria. To ensure that the response as a whole – and not just the Social Stability Sector – is working to reduce tensions and bolster social stability, a consultant is required to mainstream conflict sensitivity and do no harm across sectors of the LCRP (Lebanon Crisis Response Plan 2017-2020).
