Launching Of The Gender In Development And Humanitarian Assistance- Diploma

On Friday October 21st the Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World (IWSAW) is launching its continuing education diploma dedicated to Gender in Development and Humanitarian Assistance (GDHA).
The Gender in Development and Humanitarian Assistance (GDHA) Diploma is a joint collaboration of the Institute for Women’s Studies in the Arab World (IWSAW) along with LAU's Continuing Education Program (CEP) and the Human Rights Education Associates (HREA), global leaders in online human rights education.
The GDHA diploma will address the different dimensions gender issues can take in relation to development and humanitarian assistance in the Arab world and beyond. The diploma will meet an identified need for capacity building and individual specialists working for regional, national, and international agencies.
The courses will empower participants with knowledge and skills that have direct practical implications. It also builds local capacity to address local issues – creating a cadre of professionals in the Arab world who can carry this work forward. In sum, the collaboration between IWSAW, CEP, and HREA creates a synergy and sets a new standard in gender education for development and humanitarian professionals in line with internationally-recognized good practice.
Please join us at the launch of our GDHA Diploma and learn how to become an expert in gender-responsive program, enable the implementation of gender-sensitive development policies, and acquire the essential technical knowledge needed to effectively respond to the needs of our societies.
Confirmed speakers are:
LAU President Dr. J Jabbra
Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Dutch Kingdom Mrs. Hester Somsen
IWSAW director Dr. Lina Abirafeh
