MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate, plan, and support the production of evidence-based communications resources
Ensure that consortium partners conduct all communications resources which are agreed on in the C&V plan on time.
Update and amend the communications plan as needed in coordination with the consortium partners and Chief of Party.
Produce and lead on the production of communications resources (videos, stories, and photo essays) that portray the joint efforts of the consortium
Provide communications support as needed to consortium events
Ensure that the developed resources are produced in coordination with and as per standards of the EU.
Allocate new resources based on consortium initiatives and interventions.
Ensure that a comprehensive archiving platform is created to record all the communications material developed by all partners. Drafts, design files, and final products will be documented on this platform with their relevant descriptions.
Organize and lead a training around “communications for development” to the youth in order to build their capacities in developing their own videos and stories which aim to highlight their work.
Contribute to higher reach through local and international media as well as Social Media.
Contribute to media outreach plan by engaging with journalists and pitching project initiatives, resulting in increased positive coverage of the Youth RESOLVE consortium in local and national media outlets as needed.
Engage with local journalists in activities and training as per the communications and visibility plan.
Engage and host international and local media and press outlets representatives.
Ensure efficient social media channels are selected/established. Monitor relevant digital platforms ensuring proper coordination and yielding high exposure for project.
Develop social media plan and calendar with consortium partners to highlight events, resources, and initiatives.
Ensure Branding, Visibility and Reporting
Develop internal and external communication as required and in alignment with the C&V plan.
Develop reporting and analysis methods on media and Social Media engagement and reach, as well as visibility.
Perform other duties as required
Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture
Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager
Attend and participate in local and international capacity building events as needed
Attend and participate in spiritual nurture events and other organizational events.
Perform other related tasks as required by the External engagement team
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual, journalism, communications
2 to 3 years of experience working in communications or journalism or a related field with NGO’s
Very strong ability to write, edit, and speak English and Arabic (Previous experience writing, editing and/or publishing articles and taking photos)
Experience of coordinating work between different stakeholders and partners
Experience working with donors and government institutions.
Ability to cope with working in a dynamic and changing environment.
Proven track record of social media experience.
Strong storytelling skills
Ability to develop press releases and content for media
Ability to engage with media and maintain good media relations
Previous experience of developing quality content and leading social media campaigns
Strong computer literacy, including ability to work with Microsoft Office and web-based software
Cross-cultural sensitivity and understanding of social and political environment.

Full adherence to security protocols
A full commitment to World Vision’s core values and mission statement.
Experience in managing inter-agency consortia is preferred.
Previous experience in working with donors is preferred, particularly with the European Union.
The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 70% of the time.
