1- Facilitate project’s implementation

Projects activities are implemented as per the developed action plan

  • Assist the BLN teacher in animating the BLN classes within the used curriculum
  • Provide age appropriate, loving discipline and behavioral guidance.
  • Guarantee a friendly, fun, creative, clean environment for children.
  • Help in the preparation of the BLN educational materials (posters, decoration, Educational games…).
  • Accompany the Bus driver along his trip from children houses to the centre and vis versa.
  • Ensure on the attendance of children in the Bus according to the attendance sheets available .
  • Ask parents about the reason of why children are absent.
  • Accompany children while entering the toilets and ensure their cleanliness when needed
  • Help in the preparation of children snacks when needed

 

 

2- Ensure children’s safety and protection

 

 

Children attending the activities are protected and safe

  • Work in compliance with and respect of the principles of Child Protection and confidentiality, working with refugee and host communities with sensitivity.
  • Ensure on the protection issues of the children: if they are sitting properly in the Bus, not standing up, not putting their heads out of the windows. Ensure their safety while coming in to the Bus and going out to the center.
  • Identify key protection threats affecting the children and raise them to the center supervisor.
  • Report about any safety incidence or any complaint or request from parents of children or stakeholders to the Center Supervisor.

 

 

3- Perform other duties as required

  • Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture
  • Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager

HEA responsibilities:

  • Be aware of the emergency procedures in a response and ensure that necessary preparedness measures have been implemented after coordination with Project manager

Other duties:

  • Attend and participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, referrals, and reporting requirements are followed
  • Attend and participate in spiritual nurture events and other organizational events
  • Perform other related tasks as required by the Project Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

  • Bachelor degree in a social development related field, (kindergarten, psychology, sociology, social sciences/humanities, specialized education or social animation)
  • One year work experience in implementing recreational activities, psychosocial activities with children
  • Capable of dealing with children who have experienced war distress
  • Knowledge on Child Protection
