Volunteer For Lebanon serves as a national hub for volunteering with the mission "to promote, facilitate, and improve volunteering and community service throughout Lebanon." Volunteer For Lebanon is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-governmental, organization, with no affiliation to any political or religious group in Lebanon, and with a comprehensive approach to volunteering that serves all the stakeholders in the volunteer eco-system.
The objectives of Volunteer For Lebanon are to:

Promote and engage different sectors of society as volunteers: children, youth, adults, and seniors, those with disabilities, and people from abroad, especially people of Lebanese heritage.
Train volunteers, volunteer managers, and specialists in volunteering.
Develop mechanisms to help volunteers find appropriate volunteer opportunities and help the institutions that engage volunteers to recruit the volunteers they need.
Support and improve existing mechanisms and develop new ones for networking, sharing, collaboration, and mutual support among those who promote volunteering and engage volunteers in Lebanon.
Improve knowledge of volunteering by establishing a resource library, developing new resources, and engaging in research on volunteering.
Support programs of volunteering and community service in educational institutions of all levels from pre-school through university.
Assess the existing policy framework for volunteer activity and work to strengthen that framework across all concerned government agencies.
Identify, reward, and give public recognition to exemplary volunteers and volunteer initiatives.
Collaborate with other organizations and institutions that have similar or overlapping objectives at the national, regional and international level.

Volunteer for Lebanon is offering a limited number of summer internships to youth (ages 16-25) to help develop National Youth Service Week 2019 into a truly national campaign that empowers youth (ages 5-25) to plan and implement sustainable service projects. Interns will develop outreach strategies and training materials, make contact with educational institutions and youth organizations, and support the development of an online platform to connect host organizations with implementing youth groups across social boundaries of geography, religion, sect, age, and abilities/disabilities.
