We thank you for your time in attending the pre-bid meeting yesterday in relation to the cloth masks tender (tender ref. LITB-2020-9160470) and for raising all your queries.
Due to a technical problem preventing our health colleagues to address your queries from a technical point of view, the meeting has been rescheduled for this Thursday the 20th of August at 1:00 p.m. Beirut time.
The closing date of the tender is also extended for one additional week until the 26th of August, to grant bidders more time to prepare their proposals.
Meanwhile and before the rescheduled meeting of Thursday, you are welcome to send any query you may have by email.

Please take into consideration the below while quoting:
- There are pictures of the AFNOR masks in the guidelines, it depends which masks they decide to do, both samples pictures are there (p17 and p20)
- As for the material there is also a whole list of materials accepted in the annexes (Annex A). And that as well they are free to choose whether they prefer to do 2 layers (AFNOR) or 3 layers (WHO). They can even suggest both samples.
- Providing samples is mandatory for all options provided ( UNICEF House, Sodeco SAMA Beirut 5th floor att. Supply Section).
- In none of the guidelines the metallic strip is mentioned. However it is highly recommended, It’s advisable to suggest samples with the metallic strip as well.
- Also in case they ask, as others did, they can suggest elastics behind the head and elastics behind the ears. Both are welcome.
- Is the payment in US$ we will be receiving from you “fresh money”? Fresh money, you must have a local bank account.
- Do you request on the individual plastic bag in which the mask is placed a sticker describing the product? Please quote for both option with or without stickers.
