Intro: TDH- IT is implementing an EU- funded (‘Madad Fund’) education project, ‘Back to the Future’ in consortium with AVSI (lead agency) and War Child Holland. The consortium will support formal and non-formal activities for vulnerable preschool and school aged boys and girls (over 3 years old) in Lebanon and Jordan. Activities include; Basic Literacy and Numeracy classes, remedial classes, foreign language classes (French, English), homework support and PSS activities.   Terre des Hommes Italy (TDH- IT) is recruiting teachers to work for the consortium in the Keyfoun area of Aley District to support the implementation of the ‘Back to the Future’ project, aimed at building the resilience of Syrian Refugees and affected host populations through educational and PSS activities.   Job Purpose: With an anticipated start date of 10th July 2017, TDH IT is seeking teachers that are qualified to deliver: Early Childhood Education (aged 3 – 5) classes; Basic Literacy and Numeracy (ages 10 – 17) classes; Remedial (ages 6- 15) classes; Foreign Language Courses (French Language)- beginner to intermediate levels.   We invite qualified teachers to apply with one or more of the above capacities. We are accepting rolling applications throughout 2017/18 to fill our needs during the years.   Key Responsibilities Teachers are in charge of:   Implementing qualitative educational support to the children benefiting from the educational programs. Teaching classes and evaluating students’ progress. Planning and implementing lessons as per the directions of the education specialist. Preparing a file for each child as per the directions of specialist and the centers’ coordinators. Providing age appropriate supervision and discipline. Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for the child. Addressing cultural and special needs. Contributing to the ongoing operations of the centers.  Keeping an ongoing positive communication with the parents. Teaching and educating students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care.   Experience required: Education: Bachelor degree in Education specialized in early child education and/or literacy and numeracy. Experience and competencies: Essential: Excellent communication skills – written and verbal; (children and parent oriented); Self-motivation, initiative with a high level of energy; Commitment to the aims, principles and values of TDH IT; Ability to work well in a team and under pressure and in response to changing needs; Minimum 1 year of teaching experience.
