"Support-Share-Initiate" (S.S.I) - Lebanon is a Lebanese Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in Lebanon in 2010, dealing with Sustainable Development Goals. SSI implements an integrated approach between sustainable development, leadership and communities; to support the different social, economical and humanitarian aspects of communities. S.S.I work on developing the capacities of individuals through leadership and volunteering at the personal level to achieve a sustainable development between the three dimensions: environmental, social and economical.  

Support-Share-Initiate (S.S.I) is recruiting Paid Youth Volunteers (preferably university students or recent graduates) for a US Department of State - Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) project on "Youth Engagement in Community Development" project for 2018/2019.

The Youth Engagement in Community Development will focus on "Road Safety Awareness in Lebanese Public and Private Schools" in Lebanon. 

This project funded from Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) of the US Department of State aims to support volunteerism and youth engagement in community development in Lebanon. As such:

Youth Volunteers will receive a Training of Trainees (ToT) for 1 intensive day from the "National Council for Road Safety" (NCRS) Road Safety Regulations and New Lebanese Road Safety Law. 

Youth Volunteers will then replicate the gained knowledge of the training through Road Safety Awareness Sessions through power-point presentations and distribution of educational booklet on road safety; targeting 20 Lebanese Public and Private Schools across Lebanon (High School students) between October 2018 and April 2019. 

Upon completion of the activity, Youth Volunteers will receive a Certificate of Completion from SSI Lebanon and from MEPI-US Department of State.

Support-Share-Initiate (S.S.I) Lebanon is hiring Paid Youth Volunteers for this assignment with the following qualifications and tasks:

- Currently enrolled in a university program in Lebanon

- Recent Graduate with a bachelor degree 

- Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic 

- Good presentation and communication skills in English and Arabic 

- Public Relations with Lebanese Schools: contact director of school(s) in the volunteer area to reserve high school students for awareness sessions
