Aids Candlelight Memorial: Let's Keep The Light On Hiv

The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial is not only a memorial for people whose lives were lost to AIDS, it also serves as a community mobilization campaign to raise social consciousness about HIV and AIDS. It is one of the world’s oldest and largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV awareness. Started in 1983, the Memorial has been led by a coalition of 1,200 community organizations in 115 countries."
With 33 million people living with HIV today, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial is an important intervention for global solidarity, breaking down barriers of stigma and discrimination, and giving hope to new generations.

This year, the Candlelight Memorial will take place for the third time in Lebanon. Join SIDC (Soins Infirmiers et Developpement Communautaire), Vivre Positif, and World Vision in Lebanon on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Daraj el Fann, St. Nicolas Street at 6pm.
The event will be animated by a DJ, band, a circus act, and lots of surprises. FREE ENTRANCE
