SUMMARY
The outreach worker will be responsible for facilitating project's implementation as per the developed action plan. The outreach worker will conduct regular spot-checks on running sessions. They will be responsible for organizing Psychosocial Support activities in the community and in the community center.
RESPONSIBILITIES, MAIN DUTIES AND REPORTING:
- Participate in the CP Psychosocial wellbeing baseline tool and support its implementation
- Participate in the development of the PSS material for children and parents
- Support volunteer PSS worker and the development of their coaching plan
- Ensure that the PSS activities taking place in the communities and the settlement respond to the need
- Support CBPSS activities in the community and in the community center
- Ensure the correct implementation of the outreach strategy based for CP service delivery at the house hold level for Psychosocial activities
- Work closely with the Community workers
- Outreach and support the implementation plan with SDCs in Talya, labwe and Brital
- Participate actively in the PSS meeting
- Participate in the development of lesson learned and best practices
- Report high risk cases to the child protection officer
- Record forms in tablets and referrals forms
- Deliver any other responsibility assigned by Project Manager
REPORTS TO: CP Officer.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in social science or any other related field
- Minimum of 1-year experience of implementing child protection programs, preferable social work, in humanitarian or development settings
- Experience working with Syrian communities
- Experience working with street and working children
- Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children
- Comfortable working on the street and at night (on a rotational basis)
- Staunch advocate of child protection and child rights
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively with others
- Ability to work on the street supporting psychosocial activities for street and working children;
- Ability to work on the street at night conducting activities and supporting the team;
- Team player
- have good communication skills
- able to handle pressure well and work in cross-cultural setting
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus
EMPLOYEMENT CONDITIONS
- Contract duration: 9 months full-time with possibility to renew;
- Having a valid Lebanese/International driving license is a must;
