The Beirut Office is looking for a project manager for their project on cinematic perspectives on exile, politics and the self.

The project wants to support four young filmmakers from Lebanon, Syria and Iraq in the production of a film that  deals with their own perspectives on topics related to politics, exile, migration, revolution and war. The idea is to support the selected filmmakers financially as well as artistically and logistically in the production of the movie.

Time frame: One year

Starting Date: 01.05.2018

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develops production budgets (in cooperation with the RLS team)
  • Selecting, planning and monitoring the projects (in cooperation with the RLS team)
  • performing a variety of administrative tasks to support the film directors.
  • making sure the production runs to schedule
  • controlling and monitoring production spending
  • reporting on progress to RLS
  • preparing and maintaining projects, stage and exception plans as required

Requirements of the applicant

  • 5 years’ experience in film production industry in the Arabic region
  • Experience in project coordination and management
  • Good problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, identify critical issues and work towards results
  • develop and maintain an agreed project plan and detailed stage plans
  • Sharing the understandings and values of RLS
