We are a multidisciplinary research and design studio that engages critically and creatively with a number of urban and public issues in Lebanon. 
Through collaborating with a network of professionals ranging from historians and journalists to artists and filmmakers, we initiate research projects that study, shape and implement counter strategies to urban planning and policy making in Lebanon.

We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager to join our team and plan, implement and lead our research projects to success.

Qualifications

  • Full time or part time position based on need;
  • Master’s degree or comparable experience in urban planning, public administration, business, finance or community development;
  • Familiarity with the field of urbanism;
  • Commitment to issues facing vulnerable populations;
  • Excellent communications skills – writing and presentation ability;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to type in Arabic;
  • Project management skills;
  • Flexible schedule;
  • Ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion;
  • Organized, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and detail oriented;
  • Excellent computer skills including research capabilities;

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all project operations, including administration, logistics, procurement, and property. He/she will ensure that program implementation is in accordance with donor regulations and procedures. 
  • Reports in a timely manner to Executive Director the progress of Public Works projects from an operational and financial perspective;
  • Coordinate with F&A Manager, Head of Research Department and Head of Design Department tasks for ongoing projects, including meetings, calls, budget submissions, among others;
  • Complete funding applications for grant proposals for operating funding, due diligence and compliance documents for projects, where applicable;
  • Exploration and feasibility analysis of new community development opportunities in line with Public Works mission and vision;
  • Coordinate all pre-development efforts for new projects including financing;
  • Complete submission of funding applications and grant proposals to various donors and funding foundations to support new development and their respective operations and manage process;
  • Act as agency liaison with suppliers of goods and services with whom Public Works contracts for services and capital projects, where it relates to project;
  • Submission of all due diligence and compliance documents to funders for all Public Works projects on time;
  • Coordinate schedules and meetings for senior staff as it pertains to the management of existing projects;
  • Maintain project files in a proficient and diligent manner;
  • Any other duties as required by the Executive Director.
