Description:
What is this The A Project that's hiring?

The A Project is a non-governmental organization that envisions a society where sexuality and mental health are reclaimed by women and gender non-conforming people, cared for, respected, recognized in their diversities, and not utilized against them.

We aim to create platforms that reaffirm agency and autonomy in sexuality and mental health, while advancing, through practice and theory, a political discourse around sexual, reproductive, and mental health and seeking alternatives to counteract medical patriarchy's restrictive and reductive approaches towards all bodies, especially those of women and gender non-conforming people in Lebanon.

Who makes up The A Project?

The A Project is small team, staff-wise; but quite a large and powerful one, membership-wise. We are a majority women and trans* persons group.

We are especially interested in someone who has a passion for working on gender justice and women's rights matters, and particularly on reproductive and sexual health. For the grant proposal writing segment of this job opportunity, the applicant should have strong writing skills and values work on advancing women and trans* health and rights. Do mention in your cover letter if you have work or volunteer experience in women's rights work.
