Job description:

  • Administering and Monitoring the Financial System.
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Implement Financial policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain cash control.
  • Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
  • Process petty cash reconciliations on weekly basis or as required.
  • Process invoices.
  • Ensure data is entered in the system.
  • Issue checks.
  • Ensure transactions are properly recorded in the computerized accounting system.
  • Prepare balance sheets and monthly financial statements.
  • Liaise with external Auditor and prepare and assist with annual audit.
  • Financial controlling.
  • Maintain files and records.
  • Administering employee records.
  • Document new employees.
  • Maintain the leave management system.
  • Verify annual leave records.
  • Maintain confidential employee files.
  • Perform other administrative and financial ad hoc tasks as needed.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration combined with a minimum of 3 years of related financial experience.
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting programs.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Experience in financial controlling.
  • Experience in administering employee records, benefits and payroll.
  • Time management skills.
  • Advance ability to communicate in English.
  • Advanced organizations skills.
  • Advanced text processing skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced typing skills (English and Arabic).
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and experience of NGO operations is an advantage.
