CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINERS - Deadline extension
PCPM is recruiting trainers to implement a capacity-building project in the areas of Akkar, Bekaa, and Byblos.
The successful candidates will exhibit strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and dedication to the mission’s values.
This is a contract position, anticipated to run until July 2019.
Trainers with an Agricultural Engineering or Business background will be given priority. The training sessions will cover different topics related to the below fields:
- Production
Agricultural value chain, food and regional products processing, hygiene and quality control, filling, EU food safety standards, HACCP at the level of production, etc.
- Selling and marketing
Marketing techniques, bulk packaging and labelling, designation of products, certification procedures, logistics and shipping, pricing, cost effectiveness, linking to the market etc.
- Strategic planning
Crop management and post-harvest treatments, retrofitting, capacity building in management, business strategy etc.
- Certification and exportation
Ecological certification, certification procedures to introduce products on EU markets (FSSC 22000 Certification System etc.)
The selected persons will have the following responsibilities
- Prepare the training materials in both English and Arabic
- Deliver the sessions to participants in Arabic
- Prepare, administer, and correct a simple multiple-choice quiz related to the specific topic
- Submit a narrative report that will include detailed information on the sessions delivered during the month
Qualifications:
- National Staff Position (only Lebanese citizens are eligible to apply)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a trainer
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work under pressure
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and values
- Ability to deliver the training session in Arabic. English is a plus
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good self-control, adaptability, and objectivity
- Good attention to detail
