Shelter and Settlements Coordinator

The Shelter and Settlemtnts Coordinator will be responsible for managing the impelementation of the Shelter WASH upgrades, including minor repairs, minor rehabs, major rehabs (structural stabilisation), reconstruction and infrastructure upgrades in line with the NRC Response Strategy. The role entails the provision of technical guidance to the team of S&S WASH Officers ensuring that deliverables are compliant with the Shelter and WASH sectors' standards as well as with the Lebanese Construction Law. The position will make sure that execution files are well developed and are ready for tendering. The role will also supervise the implementation of works, with contractors and beneficiaries, ensuring accountability and compliance with donors requirements. The Coordinator will also be responsible for reporting any issues or challenges regarding context or proccesses to the Project Manager and contribute to finding proper and feasible solutions. He/She will also report progress of activities to PM on regular basis, and will contribute to donor reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience in a engineering field • Experience from working in a humanitarian/recovery context;

• Good understanding of protection principles, referral systems, humanitarian services and stakeholders;

• Reliable managerial skills;

• Good networking and connection building skills;

• Fluent Arabic and English, both written and spoken;

• Good level of computer literacy including the use of AutoCAD or ProgeCAD
