- Role and responsibilities
The Logistics Officer is responsible for the warehouse, fleet and asset management in the Bekaa Office in compliance with NRC’s policies and procedures and donors’ rules and regulations.
Generic responsibilities
- Implement NRC’s logistics policies and procedures at office level
- Ensure compliance with NRC’s Logistics Handbook, other NRC policies and donor requirements in all procedures and processes
- Provide anticorruption, transparency and cost efficiency focus in all processes (e.g. in procurement, vehicle management, asset management)
- Supervision, training and development of logistics team at office level
- Ensure safe and efficient transport of staff and materials/goods
- Prepare, check and share plans, records and reports as required (e.g. warehouse and fleet reports)
- Implement a filing system/archives according to procedures
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly reports on fleet, asset management, and stock / inventory report.
- Ensure that NRC’s related activities are implemented within NRC’s Protection mainstreaming guidelines and reports any breaches/concerns to the line manager and/or focal point for proper action.
Specific responsibilities
- Maintain and responsible for management of stocks of Assets Bekaa offices and other NRC community centre and work locations in Bekaa area
- Produce stock/Asset movement reports according the NRC reporting policy and formats.
- Manage Warehouse and stock control.
- Warehouse reporting and documentations.
- Receiving items (Stock, inventory, assists) as per NRC regulations and rules.
- Ensure the NRC fleet in the Bekaa offices is properly managed including proper utilization and ensuring all drivers are following NRC rules and policies related to driving.
- Ensure all NRC vehicles are regularly serviced and able to operate safely (including daily checks of vehicles)
- Ensure proper recording on fleet management (e.g. log books, fuel consumption etc) according to NRC’s Logistics Reporting policy
- Ensure all NRC Assets are tagged and listed in the Asset management database at the time of procurement with an asset file created for them.
- Assist Logistics Coordinator in producing regular, timely and accurate narrative and logistical reports for NRC
- Ensure all transfers are documented.
- Ensure periodic assets count is done.
- Ensure all technical requirements of supplies/goods are met.
- Support in procurement when needed

- Competencies
1. Professional competencies
- Bachelor degree in business, supply chain, or any relevant field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Logistics, preferably within a humanitarian context;
- Experience in supply chain operations; and key institutional donor’s rules and regulations;
- Experience in fleet, warehouse and assets management.
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Fluent in both Arabic and English, written and verbal
