Responsibilities

The position has numerous direct and supporting roles which requires the reporting to both the Programme Manager and Operations Manager accordingly.

 

Communication, Visibility and Media

  • Develop and maintain a communication visibility plan and support systems for NPA HD programme
  • Ensure that donor visibility is in place within the offices and field teams for the HD programme
  • Ensure that media materials for NPA website etc. are first cleared by the LMAC prior to publication.
  • Support the Operations Officer and Information Management Officer with creation of case study stories either by video or as a news article.
  • Assist in organizing the HD library and archives
  • Assist in developing and implementing the Department’s Communications Plan
  • Assist in drafting success stories, articles, and press releases related to the programmes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a social media strategy to increase visibility

 

Mine Risk Education (MRE)

  • Continue the development of the MRE project
  • Design and plan MRE interventions in target communities (Prepare a Monthly Implementation plan).
  • Support the HD programme Manager in writing proposals and reports related to CPP activities.
  • Implement Mine Risk Education sessions for identified target groups.
  • Liaise with the various stakeholders identified for the project.
  • Provide monthly reports to the OM and PM.
  • Provide the Information Management Officer with IMSMA reports that are to be submitted to the LMAC.
  • Attend training workshops and coordination meetings as required. 
  • Update the Programme Manager on a regular and needs basis of MRE activities.

 

Programme Visits

  • Ensure that visitors receive security clearance prior to arrival.
  • Ensure that the terms of reference of the visitors is created and approved by the HD PM prior to travel.
  • Ensure that visitors are transported to and from the airport by an NPA car and also to and from the hotel and office.
  • Ensure that visitors receive a security brief on arrival.
  • Ensure that the visitor/s are accompanied at all times during field and office visits.

 

Socio Economic Impact Assessment

  • Support the Operations Officer in implementing Pre and Post Impact Assessments (IA)
  • Visit communities to liaise with leaders and other key people to gather details about the
  • Accurately document this information using agreed forms, maps, photographs and additional notes
  • Update Operations Manager on the situation on the ground
  • Aware of gender mainstreaming and ready to participate in gender awareness.
  • Follow NPA impact assessment guidelines and use the formats and templates designed for this purpose.
  • Identify and collect good quality case study information and photographs
  • Support the Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Officer in gathering details of accidents if/when occur.

 

Support in Grants Management:

  • Support the Programme Manager on preparing donor proposals and concept papers.
  • Support the Programme Manager by preparing draft donor reports.
  • Responsible for updating and managing the HD donor reporting schedule and submitting to both Finance and Operations when required.
  • Represent NPA HD Lebanon with appropriate Donors and other stakeholders (Fund raising events, programme visits, contract ceremonies etc.)

 

Perform other duties as assigned by line manager.
