الزمان : يوم الثلثاء في 26 آب 2014 / الساعة 11 صباحاً – الواحدة ظهراً المكان : حديقة بيت طوباجي / شارع أرمينيا / مار ميخائيل / الرميل
هذا المؤتمر هو جزء من الحملة الجارية لتوعية المواطنين من أصحاب الحقوق وسواهم كما وسائل الإعلام لوضعهم جميعاً في أجواء التطورات الأخيرة وما توصّلنا اليه حتّى اليوم في مواجهة هذا المشروع الكارثيّ المعروف (بأوتوستراد "فؤاد بطرس") الذي سيقطع أوصال قسم من أحياء الأشرفية والرميل والمدوّر (مار ميخائيل)، مع تحديد وسائل المواجهة وتوضيح البدائل المُقترحة، خاصة المُنتزه (البارك) بإسم الأستاذ "فؤاد بطرس". لا تزال بلدية بيروت ومجلس الإنماء والإعمار تدفع بإتجاه تنفيذ المشروع، مُتجاهلة أراء ومواقف المُجتمع الأهلي والمدني ومجموعة كبيرة من الإختصاصيّين وذوي الخبرة. كما هذه الإدارة ماضية قدماً وبشكل غير قانونيّ في إجراءات الإستملاك أي في المُباشرة بتنفيذ المشروع، بدون الحصول مُسبقاً على موافقة وزارة البيئة لتقييم الأثر البيئي له، وبالرغم من أنّ دراسة هذا التقييم ليست إلاّ في مرحلتها التحضيريّة من تحديد النطاق الذي لم يتمّ حتّى إبرامه الى اليوم. إنطلاقاً من ذلك، يدعو الائتلاف المدني أهآلي وسكّان بيروت الكـرام واللبنانيّين عامة وكلّ جمعيّات وتجمّعات المُجتمع كما جميع الإختصاصيّين ووسائل الإعلام الـى حضور والمُشاركة في هذا اللقاء الأهلي حيث سيتمّ التأكيد مُجدّداً على موقفنا الرافض لهذا المشروع "الفضيحة" الذي لن نسمح أبداً بتنفيذه، فالمُخالفات القانونيّة من قبل الإدارة المُختصّة كما الأخطاء التنظيميّة الظاهرة في التخطيط لا تُعدّ ولا تُحصى...

The Civil Coalition Against the highway project “Hekmeh-Turk” Axis (“Fouad Boutros” Highway) Invites you to a neighborhood meeting and press conference
This is part of an ongoing public awareness campaign to inform citizens, stakeholders and the media about the status of the “Fouad Boutros” highway project that is planned to cut across Mar Mkhayel and Hekmeh areas, to chart out ways to counter it and to present the need for alternative project, especially the “Fouad Boutros” Park.
The municipality and the CDR keep pushing for the project to be implemented, by proceeding illegally with expropriation formalities even though the “Environmental Impact Assessment” (EIA) is still at its scoping phase, and despite of the mobilization of civil society, citizens, NGOs, professionals and academics, in refusal of it.
We look forward to having a mix of residents and Beirut citizens, NGOs, concerned professionals and media people in view to show the Administration that we really “mean Business”, denouncing their wrong doing and confirming again and to all that we will never permit this Highway project to be…
The event is expected to be two hours long- one hour will be devoted to three speakers, followed by about one hour for questions and discussions.
