IT officer (part time day shift)

Background:

In the frame of BLN program supported by UNICEF, MS will pilot a digital learning,on a short period of time, in MS center with the objective to test, improve BLN children PROGRAM in order to learn foreign language before expanding it. This new program will be offering the chance to out of school children enrolled in BLN to learn English with an interactive innovative platform. 75 children wil benefit from the innovative learning. Capacity building will be also conducted by Akelius and UNICEF to support the proper development and documentation of the project .

Duties and responsibilities:

Under the management of the head of centers and MS senior IT officer, main tasks for the part time IT officer will be as follows:

• Supervise all use of tablet devices in the center
• Proceed to installation of the program (download offline application and creation of students account)
• Ensure maintenance of the tablets (charging, storage, need of replacement)
• Ensure efficient use of the internet (appropriate router and connection)  
• Recommend/coach educators and relevant team on best practices for best use of the technicalities of the platform
• Establish access control and permissions for devices and equipments
• Report and document on achievements and challenges/mitigations on Akileus tool and proceed as per feedback
• Answer all troubleshooting calls from the Support Services Manager for MS central Office or/ and other centers

Conditions of Work

The Partime IT officer will operate under the supervision of the Support Services Manager , and will also have to coordinate with  the program coordinator, the head of center and the Senior It Officer.

The Partime IT officer will be based in MS Ghobeiry center 2 to 3 days per week and occasionally in MS central office in Badaro, or any other center assigned by his direct manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in computer science  or equivalent technical expertise,
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in IT support,
• Quick learner, with initiative and problem solver
• Good coordination skills, and high team spirit,
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills,
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities,
• Experience in working in a multidisciplinary environment,
• Excellent command of both written and oral Arabic and English or French
