Age restrictions: 25 – 50 Education: Intermediate
Documents needed:
Doctor certificate (fit to work physically and mentally including blood pressure, heart condition and senses)
2 passport photos + 2 copies of ID
MAG offers 21 days paid leave per year, not including maternity and paternity leaves, in addition to NSSF coverage as per the Lebanese Labor law.

Overall purpose of the job
To carry out manual demining or BAC activities under supervision in accordance with the MAG Lebanon Standard Operating Procedures and Lebanon National Mine Action Standards.
Reporting Structure
The Deminer/Searcher will report to the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader.
Physical and Qualifications requirement
- Must have successfully graduated from a MAG Deminer/Searcher Course.
- Must have the ability to read and write in the local language.
- Must be physically and mentally fit.
Principal responsibilities
The Deminer/Searcher’s duties will include the following:
Operations
- The safe execution of all duties directed by his/her Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader.
- To stop immediately if unsure or upon encountering something new and ask for assistance from the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader or his/her Deputy.
- To maintain all Demining/BAC equipment in his/her care and ensure that all items are serviceable and in good working order.
- To report to the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader any defective equipment as soon as it is discovered.
- To carry out Demining /BAC operations as laid down in MAG SOP’s.
- Bring any safety concern or infraction to the attention of the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader.
- To stop work if any person or animal comes within 25 meters of this working area and report the situation to the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader.
- In addition to the overall purpose of the job maintain high hygiene standards in the operational area as well in any camp area.
General
- Work within the framework of MAG’s core values.
- Act as an ambassador for MAG, through professionalism and conduct.
- Adhere to all MAG policies and procedures both Technical and Administrational.
- Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as may be required
- Ready to work for a gender oriented organization
- Willing to work in a mixed team
