Project Summary: 
The Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment Project (BALADI) aims to improve public service delivery at the local and regional levels, promote community participation in local governance decision-making, increase access to reliable and affordable public services, and support participatory and accountable local governance. The goal of BALADI is to achieve sustained and broad-based economic growth by engaging with municipal government institutions, Lebanese-registered civil society organizations, and private sector businesses. The BALADI CAP project is a 5-year, USAID-funded project that complements and bolsters the activities of the BALADI project by providing organizational capacity-building assistance to local civil society organizations and municipalities in the implementation of joint municipal/Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) projects.

Position Summary:
MSI is seeking candidates for the full-time/long-term position of Training Coordinator on a capacity-building program for Lebanese civil society organizations (CSOs). The candidate will work as part of a team to improve institutional capacities of Lebanese CSOs. The anticipated time-frame for the position is 1 year.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule training workshops, communities of practice, field visits and on-the-job (OTJ) coaching and mentoring field visits for program beneficiaries;
Manage and coordinate with car services and staff drivers for field visits;
Send out invitations for trainings and other project activities and follow-up on attendance;
Address inquiries from trainees via telephone and e-mail;
Arrange logistics for training activities including venue booking, catering and transportation;
Procure all necessary materials and supplies for training programs and events, in close collaboration with the Procurement and Administration Manager;
Ensure proper branding and marking of all training material and venue;
Ensure that training venues and equipment are prepared and ready for the trainer to use, and provide any printing, copying and materials needed;
Maintain and update an expert consultant database with potential trainers and experts in all fields of relevant expertise to program activities. Maintain an up-to-date database of contacts for all individuals involved in the program;
Report to the relevant Trainer on training evaluations;
Report to Junior M&E Specialist on Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) data sheets (attendance sheets and pre- and post-tests);
Collaborate and report to the Senior Communications Specialist on obtaining training "success stories" and photos of trainings/events; and
Report to the Office Manager on venue arrangements and obtain feedback from training participants.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;
1-2 years of relevant experience in administrative and office work, logistics, and/or providing administrative support to training programs or other activities;
Fluency in both Arabic and English (French is a plus, but not necessary);
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word;
Experience on USAID-funded projects preferred.
