Project Summary: 

BALADI CAP is a five-year, technical assistance program funded by USAID/Lebanon that advances the institutional capacities of Lebanese civil society organizations (CSOs) and municipalities/unions to improve the delivery of services to local citizens.

**Please note: Only Lebanese citizens are eligible for this position.**

 

Position Responsibilities:

During the period of performance, the fundraising associate will perform the following activities in close coordination and cooperation with the BALADI CAP chief of party (COP) and project team:

  1. Conduct two (2) general trainings on fundraising (approximately three (3) workdays).
  2. Conduct on-the-job training (OJTs) for nine (9) BALADI CAP beneficiaries (specifically, Cohorts 3 & 4 civil society organizations (CSOs) (Nahnoo, IWSAW-LAU, Beirut Arab University Alumni, LEDA North, Ahlouna, DPNA, Imam Sadr Foundation, For Lebanese Youth, and the Inaya Center).
    1. The trainings will cover fundraising planning, practices, and documentation for local CSOs (approximately five [5] workdays).
    2. Up to six half-day sessions are expected to be needed for each CSO to cover the following topics (approximately 27 workdays).
      1. Prepare a fundraising plan.
      2. Report on fundraising.
  3. Report on progress made by each CSO during the trainings and their likelihood of successfully drafting, approving and implementing the fundraising plans (approximately three [3] workdays).

 

Qualifications:
  • Training, certification, and/or education in the areas of fundraising, management, or related areas.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience related to fundraising, coaching, management, planning, or related areas.
  • Previous experience working with civil society organizations (preferably, Lebanese CSOs).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Highly organized work habits, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic required.
