Overall responsibilities - Ensure the standardization of the courses (in all aspects). - Produce new practices that improve, upgrade, and modernize the course. - Promote the course. - Teaching the given curriculum. - Interacting academically and socially with trainees. Tasks and duties 1) Produce course material in collaboration with course instructors: - Curriculum, Agendas, Layouts, Handouts, Exercises, Tests. - Prepare curriculum related workshops (e.g. Virtual makeover, How to buy PC,). - Prepare short courses. 2) Promote the course: - Monitor demand. - Define and classify target group. - Propose ways to reach target group. - Prepare and present presentations/demos to clarify course content. - Propose ideas that can be used in promotional material. - Promote the courses within potential institutes, corporate, and exhibits. 3) Manage course related projects by assigning tasks to instructors, monitoring progress, and ensuring delivery. 4) Work on improving instructors skills and knowledge: - Teach skills by setting-up suitable teaching methodologies and by training instructors on using these methodologies. - Organize self-training sessions. - Propose and arrange for instructors to attend technical workshop related to the course. 5) Work on improving course level: - Propose new topics to be added to the course. - Propose new ways of handling the course. - Work on getting international certificates for the course (Microsoft ,ICDL, CISCO) 6) Work on the Socio-Academic aspect of the course: - Academic Newsletters editing. - Contests. - Competitions. - Final Fairs/exhibits. - Presentations prepared by trainees. - Visits to academic Fairs. - Workshops related to thetechnology course prepared and presented by instructors. 7) Monitor Classroom Performance - Drop outs rate. - Instructor performance. - On time class progress. - Set exam dates and handle exam follow-up. - Analyze course global results. - Generate Top 10 students list. - Analyze graduates evaluations. 8) Set course related regulations: - Exam methods of correction, scoring, and final decisions (can they pass, did not sit for a test…). - Classes make-up sessions (When, how,…) 9) Identify and maintain all materials, equipments, products needed for the course: Â Computer Coordinator → Computers, Network, UPS Maintenance 11) Report Course Progress: - Report results of academic assessment of instructors, on periodic basis. Skills and attributes - Must have the skills and attributes of an instructor. - Good organizational skills. - Leadership skills. Technology skills -Computer based trainer -good understanding in word processing soft wares: Microsoft office, ICDL… -Good understanding of technology courses: programming ,cisco etc…
