SAWC PSS Social Worker

Roles and Responsibilities:                   

Program:

• Deliver center based or mobile psychosocial activities to children, and train partner skills for caregivers.
• Participate in supporting volunteers in the organization of psychosocial activities for children and caregivers.
• Conduct Parenting skills sessions for caregivers.
• Deliver life Skills training for adolescents when needed.
• Identify requiring children case management and ensure safe referral to the case management team.
• Collect daily data about the activities organized and ensure that all the relevant forms are duly filled.
• Participate in weekly, monthly reporting, plan meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality PSS and case management, and follow reporting requirements.
• Work in close collaboration with the Senior PSS Worker, case workers and other Protection Program staff.
• Raise any concern or challenge to the Senior PSS Worker or SAWC team supervisor.
• Work in compliance and respect the principles of humanitarian protection and confidentiality, and work with refugee and host sensitive communities.
• Conduct outreach assessments to identify cases and to act in case of urgent referral.
• Conduct PSS night shift activities on a weekly basis.
• Prepare and implement big events and campaigns.

Other:

•  Report promptly concerns or incidents to MF management and liaise with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for MF programs.
• Engage with the coaching and training support provided to MF through IRC.

• Ensure activities run in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs.

• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop MF programs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Education:

• technical diploma in social science or pedagogy preferable

Work Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of work experience
• Experience in working with children and organizing activities
• Experience in working in NGO is a plus
• Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable 

Languages:

• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus

Computer Proficiency:

• Proficient in Word and excel
