About Lebanon Support

Lebanon Support is an action-oriented, non-profit research centre for and about civil society.

We are a multidisciplinary space creating synergies and bridging between researchers, experts, civil society and NGO practitioners, and activists. Lebanon Support aims to foster social change through innovative uses of social science, digital technologies, and publication and exchange of knowledge.

We achieve our action-oriented mission through 3 main programs:

 

 

Job purpose

Manage the centre’s communication and outreach (online, as well as traditional media), and ensure proper follow up on relevant websites’ content, in line with the centre’s identity.

 

 

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Publications, the Content and Communication officer’s main tasks will be:

I- Content management and editing of the platforms and portals

- Updating and maintaining all Lebanon Support’s online platforms including: LS website, Civil Society Incubator Blog, Daleel Madani, and the CSKC.

- Coordinating and managing Lebanon Support’s communication and outreach efforts.

- Coordinating with the team on communication, promotion, and outreach efforts, such as events and campaigns.

 

More specifically:
- Update content on Daleel Madani (DM), organising, categorising, and monitoring existing content, as well as new to-be-added content and resources on the portal, based on the centre’s tracking and follow up sheets

- Manage members subscriptions on Daleel Madani, as well as reach out to new organisations and actors to join the network.
- Keep an efficient organisation of content on all Lebanon Support websites to ensure high usability and information retrieval standards, and ensuring the efficient compliance with editorial guidelines and Lebanon Support publishing standards.
- Review all LS websites and content prior to publication and dissemination (research, graphs, etc.) making sure it is consistent with LS’s guidelines.
- Assist in editing Lebanon Support’s content, as well as the yearly Civil Society Review.
- Assist in developing new content and resources as required.
- Assist in data analysis (statistical data) and support in creating relevant graphs and tables
- Contribute to the development and review of programme related internal materials and tools.

 

II- Communication

- Plan the centre’s communication strategy and schedule, using the relevant follow up and planning tools, and ensuring that all websites are up-to-date accordingly.

- Liaise with media outlets and follow up with media contacts to publicise LS’s programmes, projects, activities, and publications.
- Plan and develop email bulletins about Daleel Madani, and thematic projects on CKSC, to be sent to the mailing list. Follow up on mailing list subscriptions.
- Manage Lebanon Support’s social media channels, in accordance with the centre’s identity, and ensure high visibility of it and of its work.
- Track the visibility and outreach of Lebanon Support, its projects, and publications, including but not limited to: in the media, in citations, on social media, or through the website’s analytics
- Follow up on communication with the members of Daleel Madani, answering the phone and emails
- Follow up on technical issues and inquiries with user of Daleel Madani and coordinate with Lebanon Support’s ICT team to resolve them.
- Identify and contact new organisations that can become members of Daleel Madani, or partners on other projects on the CSKC for example
- Assist the team in preparing events hosted by Lebanon Support, and in preparing presentations about LS work and programmes.
