Gender Afterworks - "قهوة الجندر": Socio-Economic Rights From A Gender Perspective

Lebanon Support is launching a new event series in September 2016, titled Gender Afterworks.
Gender Afterworks are an open informal café for discussion, aiming at creating informal spaces for discussion between scholars, experts, practitioners, activists and the general public on themes pertaining to gender in Lebanon. These events will be hosted regularly by Lebanon Support with partner organisations.

The first Gender Afterworks will take place on the 22nd of September 2016, 5:30pm, at the Smallville Hotel’s garden. It is organised in partnership with the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL) and the Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND), and will focus on discussing social and economic rights in Lebanon from a gender perspective. The discussion will be led by Manar Zaayter from the RDFL and Ziad Abdel Samad from ANND.

يطلق مركز دعم لبنان سلسلة جديدة من النقاشات في ايلول/سبتمبر ٢٠١٦، بعنوان "قهوة الجندر". وهذه الجلسات بالتحديد عبارة عن مُلتقيات في مقهى غير رسمية مفتوحة ومخصَّصة للنقاش، وذلك بهدف إنشاء فضاء غير رسمي للنقاش بين الباحثين، والخبراء، والعاملين والناشطين، وعامَّة الجمهور، حول مواضيع ذات صلة بالجندر في لبنان. وسيعمل مركز دعم لبنان مع المنظمات الشريكة على استضافة هذه الأحداث بانتظام. 
ستجري الجلسة النقاشية الأولى لقهوة الجندر في ٢٢ أيلول/سبتمبر ٢٠١٦، عند الساعة الخامسة والنصف مساءً، في حديقة فندق Smallville. هذه الجلسة تُنظَّم بالشراكة مع التجمع النسائي الديمقراطي اللبناني (RDFL)، وشبكة المنظمات غير الحكومية العربية للتنمية (ANND)، وتتناول بشكل رئيسي الحقوق الإجتماعية والإقتصادية في لبنان من منظور جندري. سيُدير النقاش كل من منار زعيتر من التجمع النسائي الديمقراطي اللبناني، وزياد عبدالصمد من شبكة المنظمات غير الحكومية العربية للتنمية.
