Project Administrative Assistant
I. INTRODUCTION
Project Background Information
The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014. LRI is managing a project funded by the World Food Programme (WFP) aiming at improving livelihoods in vulnerable communities through the implementation of reforestation and forest management activities.
The project is operated by LRI’s offices in Hazmieh, with support from LRI field team in Beqaa and North.
II. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
LRI seeks a full-time administrative assistant for the project for the period of 3 months from February 1st till April 30th, 2018. The administrative assistant will help the project team ensure smooth work progress and compliance with WFP requirements.
The administrative assistant is expected to perform the following duties:
- Coordinate workers payments and enter workers data on LRI database
- Confirm receipt of payments for workers
- Develop purchase requests and follow up on project procurements
- Assist the field team when needed
- Conduct phone surveys with workers and their households
- Develop worker-related reports for WFP
- Any other related activities and assistance that may reasonably be required.
III. EXPECTED DELIVERABLES
Specific deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Regular reports on workers data (number of workers hired, workers profile data, etc);
- Assessment report for workers and worker profile forms filled
- Updated workplan tracking sheet on a monthly basis;
- Monthly work progress reports.
IV. REQUIREMENTS
The Administrative Assistant should possess the following competencies, skills, and experience:
• Good academic and proven practical knowledge in the field of community mobilization, coordination of community activities, social work, forestry or any related field;
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience working with rural communities;
- Strong analytical, communication and inter-personal skills;
- Excellent reporting skills;
- Willingness to travel outside Beirut to the project sites; and
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
