Operational Roles and Responsibilities

Software Management

  1. System Adaptation
    1. Deploy and monitor the adoption and use of the new BTS software in all branches and provide reports and recommendations.
    2. Assure the development of new features and updates of the BTS system software.
    3. Gather requirements from BTS users when new systems (e.g. materials management, asset management) or functionalities are to be implemented.
  2. Recommend to the ICT Manager and BTS Management improvements related to software(s) and infrastructure if needed (e.g. connectivity between centers) in order to improve the efficiency of BTS processes.

 

IT Security

  1. Align the IT security policies with LRC standards in consultation with the ICT Manager and monitor compliance to those policies across all BTS centers.
  2. Establish relevant procedures to safeguard the security of the donors’ information and blood units’ data.

 

Infrastructure

  1. Monitor and maintain computer systems and network.
  2. Maintain network services to ensure constant connectivity of all technical devices in BTS headquarter and centers.
  3. Support the BTS communication network between BTS branches.

 

 

Supplier Relationship

  1. Coordinate and manage relationships with external software/hardware suppliers in coordination with ICT manager.
  2. Maintain the contact with all software providers (Hemasoft and others) on all technical aspects, when needed in coordination with ICT Manager.

 

User Support

  1. Manage the daily running of IT infrastructure in all BTS centers, and give support to staff in the branches on IT; support the staff in the centers with advice, instructions and help via telephone, remotely and by site visits.
  2. Act as a support administrator on the ICT helpdesk, managing incidents and fulfilling basic requests for all BTS users, LRC Staff, etc.
  3. Develop and deliver the necessary trainings, together with functional users, for staff on the new software and hardware, including eDelphyn system, O365, SharePoint (Intranet Site).
  4. Implement and develop new and existing projects such as Dashboard, Thermo Monitoring system, BTS equipment integration and support in Donor Management Program.
  5. Generate and analyze BTS statistical Data in a monthly report.
  6. Identify BTS Data inconsistency between software and dashboard and suggest improvements.

 

Other IT related activities

  1. Evaluate, procure and replace material/equipment when needed in line with LRC procurement policies and procedures.
  2. Keep up to data with technology trends in relation to BTS; analyze future BTS IT needs and propose adequate solutions in coordination with the ICT Manager.
  3. Coordinate the introduction of new software(s) and hardware(s) in BTS with the LRC ICT Manager. 

Support and assist as required the LRC ICT Manager with the handling of all LRC IT infrastructure in case of availability.
