The Centre for Lebanese Studies (CLS) at the Lebanese American University and the Lebanese Association for History (LAH) would like to jointly recruit a Media and Communication Officer:
Job Descriptions:
- Will be in charge to the dissemination of CLS and LAH’s activities on social media pages (Facebook and Twitter) as well as their websites
- Attend all workshops and events by LAH and CLS and ensure live coverage on social media outlets (posting on Facebook, Live tweeting, etc.)
- Create strategies for CLS and LAH to promote their mission and objectives on Social Media, Website outreach and other media platforms.
- Research, develop and lead on CLS and LAH awareness and advocacy campaigns.
- Create graphics for invitations, campaigns, and all related components of the projects of CLS and LAH
- Assist with preparation of media releases and articles in English and Arabic
- Ensure continuous communication with the Marketing and Communications Department of the Lebanese American University
- Support and design posters, training materials, banners, and guides for LAH and CLS
- Compile and archive photos and documentations of all events and activities of CLS and LAH.
- Manage the community of LAH and CLS on all various networking platforms.
Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor degree in communication, media, graphic design or any related industry
- Media Communication Skills including editorial, creative thinking, designing and implementing media strategy
- Dynamic attitude, multitasking skills and team player skills
- Organizational skills with attention to details and high professionalism
- Time management with the ability to work under pressure
- 3-5 years’ experience in Media and Communication field with experience in social media platform management and media related tasks
- Creative writing skills
- Strong networking skills
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English and Arabic (Other languages are a plus)
