The Technical Coordinator will work closely with the Business Development and Marketing Senior Manager (BDM) to provide overall technical support to the LINQ Business Development and Technical team, by contributing to the program’s interventions, (Technical Assistance and/or Investment Grants), that will be conducted with agribusiness partners and the farmers supplying them. As part of the technical team, she/he shall participate in the processing of the grants’ applications and the execution of the related activities as per the determined acceleration plans.   In addition, the technical officer shall assist in monitoring the progress and the impact of the partners’ interventions and communicating these results appropriately.

 

More specifically, the Technical Coordinator shall be responsible for executing the following tasks:

  • Review grant and technical assistance applications to ensure they meet the LINQ selection criteria;
  • Provide technical support to applicants throughout the application process;
  • Follow-up on applications, and making sure requirements are well understood by applicants;
  • Coordinate review of shortlisted applications under consideration by LINQ – including arranging applicants review meetings and compiling required documentation papers;
  • Assist in developing scopes of work (SOWs) for the technical experts based on the identified needs;
  • Participate in field visits in coordination with the Technical Manager and facilitate TA and other support to the program’s partners;
  • Conduct monitoring visits – in coordination with the MEL team to track and capture results throughout implementation;
  • Contribute to drafting regular reports (weekly notes, quarterly and annual reports …) as per USAID requirements
  • Contribute to the project’s Communications, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) Component;
  • Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in, Agriculture, Food Science or Agribusiness, or in similar relevant fields. • At least three years’ experience working with agribusinesses, as part of an NGO, extension services or directly as part of the private sector. • Strong understanding of food and agricultural sectors in Lebanon. • Experience in working on development programs is preferable. • Strong communication and facilitation skills. • Demonstrated experience working with a multidisciplinary team. • Strong inter-personal skills, self-motivated and result-driven. • Excellent verbal, written communication skills in English. • Ability to work independently and proactively as a team member with little day-to-day oversight. • Capacity to turn out high quality written work under tight deadlines. • Competency in use of Microsoft Office - particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Experience engaging with women in agriculture and food processing would be a plus
