Khota Ashabab

Khota Ashabab is a nongovernmental organization founded in July 2007 and accredited in November 13, 2008 under decree number 1628.  The organization recognizes the importance of activism and volunteerism in the civil society in improving the society as a whole and spreading awareness among the different groups especially youth in order to create a peaceful and socially educated generation. 

Vision:Cultivate an environment that inspires youth to change.

Mission: Khota Ashabab aims to promote peace by developing youth policies and engaging the corresponding stakeholders in this process. 

Approach: Our approach is participatory and nonviolent in nature. It ’s focused on: • Empowering youth to promote their involvement and socio -political participation within their communities. • Establishing respectful exchange on eye -to -eye -level between youth and different social and political stakeholders within the region of Aley and Shouf. • Reaching out to other civil society actors all over Lebanon to initiate cooperation, foster relationships and contribute to a strengthened and well -connected Lebanese civil society, which is enabled to reach out to political stakeholders and to implement common projects in different parts of Lebanon with the ultimate goal to establish a peaceful Lebanese society.
