  • Develop and implement a communications strategy in coordination with KAFA’s Anti-trafficking Unit. The strategy should be designed with the objective of reaching KAFA’s advocacy and awareness raising goals and promoting KAFA’s mission;
  • Develop the concept and implement media initiatives, communications and advocacy materials, including; media campaigns, press releases and statements, and other IEC materials  based on the needs, and plans of each project; 
  • Collect survivors’ testimonies, strategic litigation cases and impact of the Unit’s work and lay a strategy to communicate them to the public;
  • Identify the adequate tools, platforms to deliver messages, knowledge and important information for online and offline audiences. Identify the best resources to execute the media and communications materials;
  • Document media coverage, and collect research and reports on Anti-Trafficking related issues at a national and international level;
  • Support with the execution of advocacy based activities, special events, and mobilize support in conjunction with these activities.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the press and media players, as well as other relevant stakeholders  
  • Respond to peoples comments on KAFA’s different social media platforms; and represent KAFA's Anti-Trafficking Unit in media interviews;
  • Conduct awareness raising and training on subjects related to the Unit’s work.
  • Conduct administrative and logistics procedures needed to execute program related activities.  Bachelor degree or Masters degree in media studies, communications studies, journalism, women studies, and other majors in social and human sciences;

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of significant professional experience in communications, media, and/or advocacy;

  • A proven track record of developing & delivering successful communications strategies and to bring creativity in the identification and exploitation of media opportunities;

  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube and other social media best practices;

  • Experience in basic graphic design is a plus (developing info graphics invitation cards, posters etc.)

-    Works with honesty and integrity;
-    Ability to work independently and with diverse teams and coordinate with external actors/consultants;
-    Good planning and managerial skills;
-    Demonstrated commitment to women’s rights and empowerment
-    Commitment to the principles of equality and non-discrimination;
-    Fluency in English and Arabic with excellent writing skills in both languages, French is a strong plus.
