Job Overview/Summary: The Recruitment Officer will be responsible for filling positions that vary from short-term, emergency response, international and full-time needs to meet demands of donors and programs in the main offices and field locations. This individual will be responsible for pro-active sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking and final negotiations for open positions. S/he will also initiate and implement recruitment strategies to increase the IRC’s talent pool and pipelines, and will provide input to ensure the IRC has diverse global talent that performs at a high level responding to the changing needs of the organization. S/he will implement industry “best practices” that ensure the timely selection of top talent, and will recruit for talent that will support IRC’s organizational culture, while contributing to IRC’s position as an employer of choice.    

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment cycle (post vacancies, arrange interviews, maintain a recruitment tracking sheet for all open national positions etc.)
  • Check references for employee chosen for the required position
  • Sourcing and short listing of CVs
  • Send rejection letters for unsuccessful applicants
  • Implement and enforce IRCs Global HR Operating Policies and Procedures; and ensure compliance with all labor laws.
  • Participate in review and delivery of HR/recruitment policies and procedures and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive HR/recruitment information at all times.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to create, implement, maintain and improve recruitment strategies and systems in a high-volume context.
  • Deepen and widen the talent pools that IRC has access to and support all level of recruitment as requested.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor University Degree, preferably in management, human resources, administration or related fields
  • Work Experience: 3-4 years
  • Language Skills:  Excellent in Arabic and English. French is a plus
  • Strong ability to prioritize work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines. 
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility. Energetic, with great networking and communication skills

 

Working Environment:  Staff will be based in Beirut office with travel to field locations as requested and upon business needs.
