Background

INARA provides life-altering medical care for children from conflict areas who have catastrophic injuries or illnesses and are unable to access treatment due to war. INARA steps in to fill the gaps in access to medical treatment when not provided by other institutions or non-profits, including financial assistance where needed.

INARA is recruiting a Case Management Coordinator to work in our Gaziantep office. Reporting to the Country Manager, s/he will play a major role in instituting our case management policies and communicating with the children and their families effectively. S/he will lead the Case Management Department ensuring that the assessment, planning, implementation, and M&E activities always have the best interests of the child in mind.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Case Management & Healthcare Coordination

· Ensure oversight and management of casework cycle by providing sufficient guidance and technical support to the case team, and undertaking casework for complex cases when necessary

· Advocate for the best interest of children with other members of the interdisciplinary team and within the healthcare institution to ensure children’s and families’ informed decision-making, consent, concordance with plans of care, and quality of life

· Facilitate case referrals to/from partner organizations and agencies, and assist families in understanding related policies, eligibility criteria, and financial/legal issues

· Identify child protection and SGBV concerns, and ensure that Child Protection principles are followed throughout the case cycle

· Develop effective working relations and cooperate with the medical team throughout the entire case process

Organizational Development & Administration

· Strengthen the organization’s monitoring and evaluation processes and tools, and provide support in evaluating the impact of programs

· Develop internal and institutional donors reports on the progress of programs, and ensure that all reports, data, and accountability are delivered within time frames

· Contribute to policy and strategy development, and provide support in the development and implementation of new proposals and program

· Provide support in maintaining and developing the organization’s medical and humanitarian partnerships for enhanced collaborative work

· Ensure that case files are updated in a timely manner using the organization’s digital platforms

· Conduct trainings for staff relevant to their professional development

· Develop and lead presentations to external parties regarding the organization and its program activities

· Carry out additional tasks and duties as directed by the Turkey Country Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

· Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in relevant field.

· 3-4 years of experience in the field, case-management, and Psycho-social Support

· Fluency in Arabic and strong written and spoken English skills.

· Turkish proficiency is essential.

· Mental health professionals preferred

· Strong communication skills and excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to connect with children

. Turkish Citizenship Required

Desirable:

· Experience working frontline with vulnerable people in Turkey or elsewhere in the Middle East

· Experience working with vulnerable children who have medical needs and corresponding knowledge of the principles and practices required when working with these children

· An understanding of medical issues which arise out of conflict situations
