The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant is responsible for all data collection and collation for IMC’s Programs. She/he will have direct contact with the beneficiaries and have a great bearing on the quality of data collected and, ultimately, on the quality and data output. Furthermore, she/he will Work with the MEAL team on designing and updating the MEAL tools and will assist the M&E Department with monthly/yearly program reports as needed.

Main Responsabilities:

  • Monitor the field activities based on project implementation plan through IMC monitoring and evaluation tools.
  • Conduct assessments as needed, facilitate focus groups and other qualitative data collection exercises
  • Monitor activity implementation progress against objectives and work plans
  • Lead in conducting post-distribution monitoring with targeted communities
  • Collect, enter, and clean data on a monthly basis, depending on project requirements, while ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in developing operational monitoring tools (checklists, questionnaires, databases, interview and survey forms, etc.)
  • Prepare weekly/monthly schedule of monitoring and evaluation related activities.
  • Assist the MEAL team in the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, producing graphics and summaries, dashboards and draft reports with presentation the results of the analysis
  • Organize, collect, compile and document all program and MEAL-related data and files, ensuring that all records are properly organized and stored
