Scope of Work:

  • Promote and introduce the International Medical Corps (IMC) integrated approach to GBV services to institutions, centers, PHCs and individuals;
  • Provide GBV case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable persons, particularly survivors of gender-based violence at the primary health clinics, community centers and field levels.
  • Case management services will include assessment of needs, development of an action plan for recovery, implementation of the action plan and ensuring appropriate follow up/revision and case closure when appropriate. The case management process should be implemented through the survivor-centered approach.
  • Provide age appropriate counseling for vulnerable girls and children while being mindful of how to care for child survivors and working in the best interest of the child. Coordinate with CP specialized agencies to properly manage cases of child survivors of GBV.
  • Contribute and regularly update service mapping of service providers within the area of intervention to ensure that the team is informed of all relevant and available services.
  • Work closely with the members of Health and MHPSS teams at IMC to properly refer beneficiaries as needed.
  •  Provide accurate referrals and ensure adequate follow up of all referred cases.
  • Identify opportunities for awareness rising, whether it at a community center or other safe space, plan the sessions; including sessions with children or children and caregivers.
  • Organize focus group discussions on relevant information when needed.
  • Identify protection concerns of young girls and women within the community in the area of intervention; i.e. any trends should be reported to the area manager and advocate for gaps in GBV response and referral procedures.
  • Conduct outreach and home visits and document it.
  • Receive referrals, take action and provide feedback of actions taken in a timely manner to manager and other agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records, and beneficiaries’ files that are in line with GBVIMS standards.
  • Prepare and submit reports in timely manner.
  • Attend IMC trainings when such trainings are planned and implemented. 
  • Prepare, take-part and document Case Management technical meetings.
  • Attend meetings with Program manager and/or Officer when such meetings are planned.
  • Engage men and boys within the GBV-IMC Program and promote Gender Equality.
  • Mobilize the community through planned coordination with area focal points.
  • Report directly to GBV-Officer.

Deliverables:

  • The weekly database;
  • The monthly intake forms, qualitative and quantitative reports;
  • Other reports requested by the IMC GBV Officer.
