International Medical Corps is accountable to: patients and communities; host government, Ministry of Health; our organization and donors. Job Purpose:

This position will support International Medical Corps' emergency response delivering outpatient clinical care to disaster effected populations by Beirut Blast.

The Accountant is responsible of a day to day data entry, reviewing the data on the system, filing all the vouchers, and preparing/sharing tracking sheets with respective people.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain journal entries of wire transfers and receipts;
  • Enter information into accounting system on a daily basis;
  • Correspond with vendors as appropriate;
  • Reviews vendor setup list and coordinate with requester when needed
  • Respond to wire transfer inquiries as appropriate;
  • Maintain accurate and complete accounting records;
  • Distribute and/or generate checks;
  • Organize and maintain Accounting filing system;
  • Assure accuracy of supporting documentation and entries for accounts reporting;
  • Oversee system for Accounting documentation transactions;
  • Resolve any discrepancies or clarification for Accounting records;
  • Maintain accurate and complete Accounting records and audit information;
  • Update the tracking sheet shared between the Finance and the program department on weekly basis.
  • Review all estimations prepared by the program team and make sure all needed backup is provided.
  • Review all payment backup once received from the program and distribute it to the Finance team.
  • Monitor accounts payable system.
  • Assists in the monthly financial closure
