The ICRC delegation in Lebanon opens the recruitment of
"Data Administrator"
Based in “Beirut" in support of the Damascus Delegation
Full time – fixed-term contract for 1 year (renewable)
Minimum required knowledge & qualification:
- University Degree in business administration, IT, international relations.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar field.
- Very good command of Arabic and English. French or other language is an asset.
- Computer proficiency (able to create Excel tables with formulas and Word documents). SQL language is an asset.
- Experience working with Databases.
- Responsibile, autonomous, able to set priorities.
- Excellent planning and organization skills.
- Very Good communication skills.
- Able to work in a team.
- Good experience and knowledge with archiving and filing.
Main tasks
Data input: Under the supervision of the Data Manager in Beirut:
- Record data in the Protection database of Syria, individual information on tracing cases, Allegations of arrest or detention, registration of Foreign Fighters Families, exchanges of Red Cross Messages, etc.
- Ensure coherence of data; analyze the data both in the database and information available in the individual files, propose solutions i.e. Note to File and/or report to the Data Manager any discrepancies that need particular follow-up;
- Follow-up with delegates for incomplete or incorrect documents linked to data collection and tracing cases in liaison with the Data Manager;
- Cross check information in the database and report all double identities to the Data Manager for merging;
- Participate in correction of the database when needed under the supervision of the Data Manager;
- Understand, put into application and contribute to the revision of the Data Entry procedures.
Restoring Family Links (RFL) case follow-up: In close cooperation with the RFL team in Syria and the Data team of Damascus
- Contribute to the follow-up of RFL cases.
- Update cases in Protection case management tool according to new information obtained, following the data entry procedures;
- Participate in updating submissions & replies received from authorities in Protection case management tool.
