INJAZ Lebanon is looking for a Community Relations Coordinator with an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative approach to strategy development. The Community Relations Coordinator is an experienced professional responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships through community outreach activities. This position develops sponsorship/business arrangements and relationships with businesses, individuals, academic institutions and other organizations interested in supporting INJAZ LEBANON’s general operations and program areas. This position interfaces regularly with the management team and reports to the Executive Director.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Work with INJAZ LEBANON team to develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative community outreach plan targeting individual, private, corporate, school and other organizations.
  • Work collaboratively and seamlessly with staff to identify new potential foundation, individual, private, corporate, school and other organization partners.
  • Determine potential partners relevant to INJAZ LEBANON through ongoing research and evaluation, and cultivate those prospects that best align with INJAZ LEBANON’s strategic short- and long-term priorities and needs.
  • Solicit grants, gifts, and sponsorships from new and continuing partners.
  • Submit proposals to engage potential partners on behalf of INJAZ LEBANON in a timely and consistent manner. This includes developing concepts, gathering and formatting information and preparing clear communications.
  • Research and assist in developing plans for expanding the INJAZ LEBANON presence.
  • Serve as an ambassador of the mission of INJAZ LEBANON in the interaction with current and potential partners and the media.

 

Position Qualifications and Knowledge:

Education and Experience:

  • Five plus years of relevant experience in business/development and/or non-profit fundraising with demonstrated success in project management and client relationship management.  
  • Marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree / Masters degree desirable

 

Job Knowledge and Skills:

  • Outgoing and engaging personality with confidence to interact face to face with individual and corporate donors.
  • A high degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive programmatic goals.
  • Flexibility and ability to infuse creativity, innovation and insight into program fulfillment as we expand our programs.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills. Able to multi-task and work through stringent deadlines while maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Experience in or with the intersection of non-profit and corporate cultures.
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills with public speaking and presentation expertise
  • Excellent computer skills including database management. Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
  • Ability to coordinate all aspects of an event including - logistics, correspondence, financial reports and printed materials.
  • Experience preparing reports for funding sources. Ability to prepare and present oral and written reports on development and outreach activities, to track and assess progress and address program deficiencies as they occur.
  • A high degree of integrity in dealing with confidential donor, beneficiary and financial information.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media platforms and websites.
  • A strong commitment to community service and the nonprofit sector. 
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and creative approach to strategy development.
