OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Technical supervisor is responsible for implementing project activities: receive referrals, assess, follow up and maintain record of all services along implementation. The technical supervisor provides practical and technical support to the Project bringing strong knowledge and experience, skills and tools in the field of inclusive education. He / She provides technical expertise and know how in terms of procurement of special equipment for inclusive schools and for identified children in need for special support.

 

REPONSIBILITIES:

 

Responsibility 1: In collaboration with the MEHE, Monitor the referred cases and follow up on their assessments and treatments.

Activities:             

  • Organize the list of identified beneficiaries, referred by the MEHE, local structures and institutions, partners, community resource people, hotline and direct identification
  • Schedule visits to the identified beneficiaries for data collection (pre and post support)
  • Conduct needs assessment him/herself or by referring to other specialists
  • Establish and maintain a wide network of local contacts and ensure their understanding of HI mandate and referral procedures
  • Provide information on the services available to beneficiaries and their families
  • Identify the need of referral to specific services and provide the Referral Focal Point with all the required information and documentation
  • Follow up the referred cases, the receiving organization and/or the beneficiary, until a clear answer is given and final assistance is received
  • Create a service provider data base per area of intervention

 

 

Responsibility 2: Reporting and Data management

Activities:

  • Organize the multidisciplinary team workload through a precise weekly plan, maintaining balance between identification, assessment and service provision, beneficiaries’ needs and external commitments;
  • Complete an evolution note after each intervention done with a beneficiary;
  • Close follow-up on individual and familial cases to ensure a qualitative follow-up of all the beneficiaries;
  • Fill daily with precision the internal reporting tools and any other reports to be made upon line manager request;
  • Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others;
  • Ensure data collected is accurate, complete and consistent and make sure to collect missing data;
  • Range all the open files in order and respect confidentiality
  • Protect the confidentiality of the information

 

Responsibility 3: Accessibility and Goods delivery management

Activities/Main duties:

  • Conduct accessibility assessments as per the project’s needs;
  • Ensure the good reception of the items and their appropriate delivery to the beneficiary;
  • Inform immediately your line manager and the logistic department of any discrepancy occurrence;

 

The Technical supervisor will be in charge of improving the professional capacities/ skills of the team and will take care of the training of the Inclusive education team, beneficiaries and any other stakeholders

 

 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE will have:

 

  • Ability to work in an multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in coordinating a multidisciplinary team’s work
  • Knowledge of referral mechanism
  • Ability to develop information materials
  • Experience in development and provision of training  and coaching
  • Demonstrate an ethic and professional practice (interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers, respect a refusal of treatment…)

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • University Degree in Occupational Therapy, physiotherapy or special educator
  • Minimum 5 years’ of clinical experience for occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in working with people having disabilities (physical, visual, hearing)
  • English and Arabic mandatory (oral and written), French would be an asset
  • Strong computer skills mandatory (Word; Excel and outlook)

Basic salary range for the position : Between 1500 to 1660 $ based on experience and according to HI salary Grid
