The Alliance2015 Partnership, represented by lead agency ACTED, Cesvi, Concern and Hivos, is running a program that aims to address root causes of conflict and instability in Lebanon, through the creation of sustainable income-generating and livelihood opportunities for vulnerable populations. Over three years, Alliance2015 partners will work directly with 1,800 individuals, 18 Social Development Centers (SDCs) and at least 27 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Lebanon.

 

Job description including qualifications and competencies:

The program that supports the syndicate of Lebanese Craftsmen and Authentic Producers focuses on the artisanal workers in Lebanon by linking designers with artisans and providing diverse support in the form of trainings, workshops, business management and development programs.

The Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for the successful implementation of the project while coordinating with the external partners, municipalities, organizations and the several internal departments at Hivos.

 

Major Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate and collaborate closely with the syndicate in the preparation of the events, workshops and trainings.

·       Create a project plan for the duration of the project, that includes the events, workshops, and other activities. This will be done in collaboration with the syndicate.

·       Evaluate the progress of the project and report to Hivos and the syndicate.

·       Facilitate and attend meetings with the Social Development Center (SDC), Syndicate of artisanal, Municipalities, Stakeholders and Branding Agency.

·       Ensure follow-ups and delivery with all the involved suppliers, branding agencies, trainers and architects.

·       Coordinate with all the parties involved in the trainings and workshops (stakeholders, consortium, venues, trainers and artisans).

·       Provide technical advice to the team as needed.

·       Supervise the work of the teams working with the syndicate and Hivos.

·       Ensure follow-ups with the involved artisans and get their feedback.

·       Any other duties relating to the nature of the job.

·       Provide weekly and monthly reports to the project manager at Hivos.

·       Participate in the monthly meeting of Hivos.

·       Provide her/his weekly schedule at the beginning of every week.

·       To comply with the Hivos Code of Conduct.

·       Ensure the proper implementation of the program by respecting the vision and values of Hivos.

·       Total of 5 working days per week; 4 days at the syndicate (in Aley) and 1 day at Hivos office (Gemmayzeh).

 

Qualification and Experience: 

·       Ability to work well in a team, under pressure and in response to changing needs.

·       Minimum of 2 years’ experience in relevant field of work.

·       Proven experience in Project Coordination.

·       Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, problem solving and team skills

·       Excellent organizational skills.

·       Ability to plan well, work with timeframes, deliver on time, set targets and meet them.

·       Knowledgeable in writing techniques addressed governmental institutions. Required written language is Arabic.

·       Proven transparency and trustworthy at work.

·       Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus.

·       Full knowledge of Microsoft Offices

Language: Fluent in Arabic, Excellent in English, French is a plus.
