Improving Medical Skills Of Doctors And Nurses From Prcs

Medical staff from Palestinian Red Crescent Society will be trained at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) to improve their skills and to know up-to-date information and technology in the field of medicine. In turn, doctors from AUBMC will visit PRCS hospitals for evaluation and recommendations.

Overall Objectives:
To improve the quality of health services by upgrading the skills of the medical staff of PRCS at the AUBMC: Since hospitalization is very expensive in Lebanon, the only resort for Palestinian refugees is PRCS hospitals. By improving the skills of the doctors and nurses of the PRCS of various specialties, more patients will be using the services provided to them.
Activities:
16 doctors and nurses are trained at AUBMC in different specialty according to needs, in 2 Rounds. Each round duration is 3 months. This gives more confidence and better self esteem to the trainees. Trainees studied for tests in BLS, PALS and ACLS. Study materials were provided for them to facilitate their study, (medical books).
