Function as a member of the Community Mental Health Team (Psychiatrist, Psychologists, CMH Nurse, CMH Case Managers, and Receptionist) in the coordination of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) service delivery.

Collaborate with the CMH team on the development and implementation of each person’s mental health care/recovery plan.

Complete the appropriate intake, assessment, and ongoing monitoring in accordance with CMHC policies and procedures for each consultation.

Act as a resource for patients on all medication related issues and questions

Act as a resource for patients on all general medical and mental health issues

Educate and monitor patients in regards to medication use and side-effects

Provide appropriate psychosocial support to beneficiaries in need.

Conduct MHPSS awareness raising and psychoeducation activities in the CMH clinic, PHC/SDC, and throughout the local community.

Assist CMH team members in the development and implementation of preventive mental health measures in the clinic and throughout the local community.

Actively build self and others’ capacity.

Work well within a multidisciplinary CMH team on the mental health concerns of all community members in need.

Provide organized weekly reporting on all clinical activities and collected data in accordance with CMHC policies and procedures.

Actively participate in weekly internal MDT meetings.

When required, participate in meetings with key actors.

When required, participate in mental health and psychosocial support coordination meetings for the Bekaa.

Provide beneficiaries and families/cares with education on relevant medical concerns

Provide beneficiaries and families/carers with education on relevant mental health issues

Ensure that beneficiaries and families/carers are familiar with each medication they are currently taking, including what the medication is used for, how it should be administered, what the most common side effects are, and what to do if the patient feels they are experiencing a side effect

Participate in defining effective and culturally appropriate approaches and interventions at the community level.

In coordination with the mental health team, prepare and conduct mental health awareness raising sessions in the CMH clinic, PHC/SDC, and throughout the community.

In coordination with the mental health team, develop evidence-based mental health interventions at the community level.

In collaboration with the mental health team, explore and detect potential risk factors influencing mental health status of the target population.

As needed, act as a resource for the mental health support groups.

Be an advocate for better mental health services and rights of persons with mental health conditions

In collaboration with the mental health team, help develop and implement preventive mental health interventions and activities to be undertaken within the PHC/SDC and the wider community.
