Major Activities
- Conducts psychosocial triage and assessments for those seeking mental health services, and aiding in decisions regarding services needed.
- Conducts face-to-face or phone-based case management and follow-up for existing and new cases, in terms of orientation, referral, and other follow-up.
- Collects, manages, and archives data pertaining to beneficiaries, and community services to establish a comprehensive orientation network with a pathway
- Revises and/or establishing an efficient and paperless procedure of case-management, within the policies of Embrace
- Orients clinical psychology student trainees to community resources and case management triages
- Orients lifeline operators to community resources
- Engages with groups present in the humanitarian field to ensure active coordination between different sectors for different service provision.
- Coordinates family/team meetings as needed and when appropriate
- Prepare presentations and/or facilitate workshops
- Reports on a monthly basis on the operations of the social work department
- Provide education and promote awareness of mental health and mental illness issues and services.
- Supports the mission and vision of Embrace and the Embrace Lifeline
- Authorizes financial assistance to help patient meet ongoing medical care expenses and /or forward the social assessment of the patient to the concerned custodian persons to benefit from a certain dedicated fund
- Coordinates activities around dissemination of patient medications with affiliated pharmacies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work (Master's degree is a plus)
- Three to five years experience in a relevant position.
- Excellent knowledge of Arabic and English. French is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, orally and in writing.
- Capacity to handle emotionally taxing cases, and a high-paced working environment.
- Technologically-savvy, and willing to problem-solve using technology.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Time Commitment
- 40-hours per week from Monday- Friday (daily start-end times are flexible and will be determined).
- Be available to respond to Embrace staff regarding high-risk cases, throughout all operational hours of the Lifeline.
